Join us for a night of music, comedy, dance, and poetry, and be transported across a landscape of feeling and desire. These performances will stir your heart’s longings, dreams, heartbreaks, and secret joys. Entangled Portals reflects how our struggles, joys, and liberation are interconnected, and draws on the physics concept of entanglement, where no part exists in isolation. Angbeen is an artist, filmmaker, poet, curator, and roller coaster enthusiast hailing from Philadelphia. Her work has been featured in Oscar-qualifying film festivals, “Best American Poetry 2021,” email attachments, tattoos and in other timelines of the multiverse. She lives in Brooklyn with her three children (cats). Soraya Perry and Matt Goldstein are a vocal improvisation duo that perform all over the world. They recently completed a tour of Europe with their improvisation trio Ecca, and will be returning to the Netherlands and Denmark this spring to perform at Aarhus Vocal Festival. Together, they explore daring musical improvisations—layering textures, rhythms, stories, and melodies that transform the voice into an instrument of endless possibility. Each performance unfolds as a fresh conversation: spontaneous, intimate, and never to be repeated. Born in New Orleans, raised in Houston, & now living in Manhattan, Irene Vázquez is a queer Black Mexican American poet, translator, and journalist. Irene’s debut chapbook Take Me To the Water was released by Bloof Books. Their writing also appears in When Language Broke Open: Queer and Trans Black Writers of Latin American Descent (University of Arizona Press) and Attached to the Living World: A New Ecopoetry Anthology (Trinity University Press).. They are a Best of the Net and Pushcart Prize nominated writer, whose work can be found in Muzzle and the Oxford American, among others. By day, Irene works at Levine Querido, editing books
