Twelve Angry Men is a play Reginald Rose adapted from the 1957 film 12 Angry Men, which Rose in turn adapted from his 1954 teleplay of the same title for the CBS Studio One anthology television series. The play premiered in London's West End in 1964. The Broadway debut of Rose's play came 50 years after CBS aired the teleplay, on October 28, 2004, by the Roundabout Theatre Company at the American Airlines Theatre, where it ran for 328 performances. Following the release of the film, the stage rights were sold, with Rose retaining the British and American commercial rights. His play made its London West End debut in 1964.
