While the film has no audible dialog, it was released with a synchronized musical score with sound effects using a short-lived sound-on-film Movietone process developed by First National. The film is important historically as the first sound feature to be released by First National Pictures. The film is a comedy and was directed by Edward F. Cline. It is based on the 1920 play Ladies' Night by Charlton Andrews and Avery Hopwood. It was released on April 1, 1928 by First National Pictures.
